With Derek Jeter, Mariano Riviera and Andy Pettitte all being free agents things could get drawn out and messy. And reports already suggest the Yankees are ready to pay Jeter more money than he deserves.
Cain able to dominate Rangers in World Series game two

Matt Cain once again put in the type of performance that, had Cliff Lee put in, people would have been calling him the best pitcher in baseball. The right-hander delivered 7 2/3 of shutout ball, struck out four and helped the San Francisco Giants take a commanding 2-0 series lead as they defeated the Texas Rangers 9-0 on Thursday night.

Lee dominates Yankees again as Rangers win

The Yankees’ biggest fear coming into the American League Championship Series was facing Cliff Lee, and on Monday night Lee showed everyone why in an 8-0 win.
