The Cavs joined the league as an expansion team in 1970 and since then have endured a rough start to their history. Their only conference title came two years ago when they beat Detroit in six games, they then went on to lose in the NBA finals to the San Antonio Spurs who won in four straight games.  Cleveland could lose Lebron James to free agency in 2010 which would seriously damage their chances of winning a title in the near future.
