Charlotte Bobcats
The Bobcats are the NBA’s newest team after being founded in 2004. The city of Charlotte did previously have a team but the Charlotte Hornets relocated to New Orleans for the start of the 2002/03 season. Robert L. Johnson made history as the first African-American to become the majority owner of a professional sports organization. Hall of famer and probably the most famous player of all time, Michael Jordon, is the Bobcats’ head of operations. On the court, Charlotte are still to make an appearance in the post season in their brief history.
