In 2008 the Nuggets secured their first ever back to back 50 win season after they signed Chauncey Billups from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Allen Iverson. Since their induction into the NBA, Denver have only won six division titles and have never reached the play-off finals.  The current group of players which includes Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, JR Smith and Nene have made the Nuggets a serious contender in the western conference.
