Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves joined the NBA in the 1989 expansion which included Orlando, Miami and Charlotte. The Wolves made the play-offs eight years in a row from 1996 – 2004 but failed to get out of the first round for the first seven years. The team won their first division title in 2004 when Kevin Garnett led the team to a 58-24 record and also claiming the Western Conference MVP. In July 2007 the team traded Garnett to the Boston Celtics for an NBA record seven players, two of which came in the form of draft picks. The team finished 24-58 in 2009 after star player Al Jefferson tore his cruciate ligament and missed most of the season,
