Golden State Warriors
The Warriors relocated from Philadelphia to San Francisco in 1962 where they were known as the San Francisco Warriors until 1971 when they were renamed to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are the holders of two NBA championships, one as the Philadelphia Warriors in 1956, and as the Golden State Warriors in 1975. Since their last championship the Warriors have somewhat disappeared from the limelight and have failed to win their division since 1976. Golden State’s 2009 season was marred by injuries to key players, so much so that they finished with a record of 29-53, despite showing that they could compete with teams like the Boston Celtics.
